Local Walmart and Sam’s Club stores raise $248,383 for Children’s Hospital & Medical Center

Local Walmart and Sam’s Club stores throughout Nebraska, Western Iowa and Northern Kansas once again joined forces to raise money for Children’s during the 2022 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals campaign. Walmart and Sam’s Club associates, customers, and members raised $248,383 for Children’s Hospital & Medical Center during their summer fundraising campaign.

Market 432 team from Blair and Council Bluffs presents a Walmart Community grant to Children’s.

Funds raised will support Children’s Carolyn Scott Rainbow House which helps families from outside the Omaha metro area who travel more than 60 miles to access Children’s care. Thanks to the generous support of Walmart and Sam’s Club, Children’s is also honored to be selected as a recipient of WalMart Giving grants. The following stores have contributed a total of $4,300 to date:

$1,000 – $3,000 grants

  • Blair Walmart Supercenter #350
  • Council Bluffs Walmart Supercenter #3150
  • York Walmart Supercenter #350

Grant funding will support Children’s Carolyn Scott Rainbow House which helps families from outside the Omaha metro area who travel more than 60 miles to access Children’s care. This funding ensures Children’s hospitality house is able to continue to provide room, board and meals for children from across the region. Funds will also support Children’s new Rainbow Suites located within the Hubbard Center for Children, an extension of our Rainbow House, with 10 new Rainbow Rooms for use by parents of critically ill children. These rooms provide a place of rest and respite while allowing parents to be as near as possible to their child.
