Spirit Halloween Brings Magic to Patients

Spirit Halloween provided Halloween care packages for pediatric patients at Children’s Hospital & Medical Center this October.

Through the Spirit of Children program, Spirit Halloween hosts nearly 100 Halloween parties every year at partner hospitals across North America so children, who otherwise wouldn’t be able to participate in Halloween celebrations, can enjoy the scary fun of the season despite being in the hospital.

This year, with on-site gatherings canceled due the COVID-19 pandemic, the Spirit of Children team rallied to create a way for children in partner hospitals to celebrate Halloween safely in their space, providing dozens of costumes and Halloween-themed goody bags for Children’s patients.

Since its inception in 2007, Spirit of Children has raised more than $65 million for Child Life departments across North America. To date, the Spirit of Children Program has raised more than $191,658 locally for Children’s.

We are grateful to our local Spirit Halloween stores and their associates who work tirelessly to encourage guests to support their children’s hospital.
